Break A Leg

I originally had a video that I wanted to post on here tonight, but the quality of it didn't turn out well, so I will re-render it tonight, and hopefully post it either tomorrow, or later this week.

In that case I will tell a quick story. Typically Lucy wakes up anywhere between 4am-6am. Her waking up includes me waking up because she wants to eat. Remember, we have the entire universe, and it all revolves around Lucy. She is usually destructive in some manner to conveniently disrupt my slumber so that I am able to "release" her from my bedroom and allow her access to her food dish. Her destructive behavior consists of anything and everything from tearing paper, knocking things onto the floor, meowing loudly, batting at a picture hanging on the wall so that is swings back and forth making noise, knocking over lamps and picture frames, meowing loudly, walking on top of me, batting at my window blinds so they bang against the window and make noise, digging in bags and boxes she shouldn't, standing on her hind legs to reach shelves and knock over everything on them within reach.... you name it, she has done it!

Well, one morning this summer I woke up to a particularly loud crashing noise... louder than normal. Whatever the item was she had knocked to the floor, it hit the heater located around the perimeter base of my room. I was too tired to care at the time, so I let her out of my room, and went back to bed. I had a feeling that I knew what she had hit to the ground, and I had a feeling that it had broken, but again I was too tired to care.

Later when I did finally get up, I examined the damage, and sure enough Lucy had knocked to the ground my favorite ballerina music box. It was a ballerina about 8 inches tall and when wound up played a ballet song (I can't remember which song exactly right now). Well, my favorite ballerina music box is now missing both of her arms, her arms are missing hands, her hands are missing fingers, and she herself has detached from her music box. Of all the things Lucy has ruined of mine, that is one of the only things I still am really bummed about. It was a Christmas gift from a friend when I was in high school. Nasty, nasty cat!!!

Speaking of whom, she is currently staring out at me from between books on a bookshelf. Big pupils... she's up to no good! Well, I best be getting both her and I to bed before it gets to late. Lucy plays the usual game of running away and hiding right when it is time for bed. And the chase is on.....
